Description

The wonders of Right Angle Weave (RAW)

My first stitch learned was the even count Peyote
stitch but since I found the Right Angle Weave also know for short as RAW – no
it’s not the wrestling program – I have had so much more fun and creative juices
flowing since.

About Right Angle
Weave:

Right Angle Weave is actually not so much of a weave but more
of a stitch type that forms bead groups into a netting and the netting type
would depend a lot on the number of beads used for each bead group – sounds
mathematical or even scientific – but not to worry it’s fairly easy to pick up
and for my personal opinion easier than the Peyote and Brick
stitches.

Beaders out there uses two different type of
approach towards Right Angle Weave, the single thread / needle method or the
double thread / needle method.

This site shows both methods for you to compare
which is easier for you to pick up: http://www.beadjewelrymaking.com/Arts_and_Craft_Idea/right_angle_weave_instruction.html
You
will also find the basic instruction of how to increase, decrease and bead a
tubular Right Angle Weave. With all these basics learned you are ready to create
fabulous beaded creations with the stitch and your imagination. it is the most
flexible among the off-loom beading techniques, the tubular right angle weave
can be used to cover objects, make bags, baskets and more.

The different types of creations I
made with the simple Right Angle Weave:

I call it the wonders of RAW because it is so
versatile and yet such a simple stitch!

I created 3-D objects like (click on the link to see
the photos):

, Beaded Dog, Beaded
Poodle
, Beaded Gift Boxes, Beaded
Snowman
, Beaded Santa Claus, Beaded Angels, Beaded Ball Necklace, Beaded Handbag, Beaded
Heart
, Beaded Teddy Bear and much more….

Also created flat objects like (click on the link to
see the photos):

, Beaded Ring, Card
